Commenting on the event, BetMGM VP of Gaming Product & Content Oliver Bartlett said: “By combining the star appeal of Jets legends Wayne Chrebet and Tony Richardson with the excitement of live dealer blackjack, BetMGM is creating a thrilling event to kick off the NFL season. This highlights our live dealer offering and reinforces our commitment to delivering fresh and engaging experiences for our players.”

Industry Trends And Collaborations

Jacob Claesson, CEO of Evolution North America, added: “Evolution is excited to partner with BetMGM to deliver an unforgettable live dealer experience featuring two New York Jets icons as we kick off the NFL season. This event showcases our innovative live dealer blackjack and offers players the unique chance to interact in real-time with Wayne and Tony while playing. We’re proud to support BetMGM as they continue to push the limits of live dealer gaming, and we look forward to introducing new sports fans to the excitement and interactive nature of live dealer games.”

Partnerships between gaming operators and sports figures are increasingly common in the industry. These collaborations are essential for operators launching new products, especially when aiming to attract Gen Z audiences.

For instance, Spribe, the operator behind the crash game Aviator (which was featured in our May/June issue of Gambling Insider), recently teamed up with Brazilian sports star Jully Poca. In our June issue of Trafficology, CCO Giorgi Tsutskiridze emphasized the importance of influencer marketing and celebrity partnerships as “essential tools for connecting with Gen Z consumers.”
